Wedding Invitations

Hello!!

We sent out the wedding invitations about a week ago, and have already received a couple of the RSVPs back :) I'm already having fun tallying them up!

Something that I noticed that I should have included on the invitation is a line for each person with their food choice. So, if you could please just write the name of whomever wants prime rib after prime rib, and whomever wants chicken after chicken; that would be incredibly helpful! It will help me to know which color your place card should be. Otherwise I'll probably be contacting you just to make sure.

I'm looking forward to getting all of your responses. Rick and I are getting very excited to spend our special day celebrating with all of you!

Wedding Registries Setup

After long deliberation we have completed our wedding registries. We are registered at both JCPenney and Target. Most of the items can be purchased online but some are in-store only.

Most of it is kitchen stuff but there are a few unique items that are surely to be found only on our registry...

Almost finished!

Rick and I were trying to think of what there is left to plan, and our list is very small - which makes me feel good that almost everything is taken care of!

Most recently we chose a florist, picked out our invitations, and got started on our gift registry. We should have the actual times for the day down pretty soon as well :)
We're not finished with the gift registry quite yet - but once we do finish we'll let you know. And yes there is going to be a XBOX on the list (and a Kitchen aid mixer of course).

The hotel where we have a block of rooms (Stoney Creek Inn) will have those set aside for us up until one month before the wedding - so book soon!

Personally I'm looking forward to summer break, I think I'm going to like having my summers off as a teacher :)

A few more details..

Today I had a snow day from work. So I went there in the morning to do some prepping, and in the afternoon I did wedding planning! (and my taxes)

The photographer is booked. We will be going through Ellickson Studio. Their work looks excellent, and they are very flexible with their packages, so we will get exactly what we want :)

As for our honeymoon, Rick got contacted today by Couples Ochos Rios because it will be under renovation from April 1st - Dec 15th.
So Instead of going to their Ochos Rios resort, we'll be going to their Sans Souci resort. Which is just as nice and only 2 miles from Ochos Rios. We both really liked both of these resorts, so we're fine with this choice too!

I do not believe that we've mentioned this before, but our ushers for our wedding will be my two brothers, Matt and Jon!

Overall it's been a very productive New Year for us! (or day for me!)

Honeymoon

We've decided to take a honeymoon right after we get married. We'll leave on Mon. Nov 17th, and return on Sun Nov. 23rd. We'll be going to Ochos Rios a couples resort (Thanks to Matt and Amber for the idea on couples resorts!)
We put our deposits down on it today - so we could get an early booker special rate :)

We've also found a photographer that we like, since Rich will be in South Africa when we get married (He did our engagement pictures). We'll be booking that within the next few days as well :)

Everything seems to be falling into place very nicely!
